The American Bar Association's Franchise Forum held its annual meeting in Vancouver this October. Chuck Modell, Larkin Hoffman franchise group leader, was the program chair for the meeting. With the help of a planning committee, Modell planned over 20 workshops, plenary sessions and intensive programs, over the course of 2 1/2 days. The program attracted franchise lawyers from around the world. Two other Larkin Hoffman attorneys, Joe Fittante and Gen Beck, spoke at the program. In addition Joe Fittante served as the ABA's Young Lawyers representative on the Franchise Forum Governing Committee. He hosted the Newcomers Dinner at the Forum for new members, and organized a unique pub crawl thru the streets of Vancouver; a bagpiper lead about 100 lawyers from pub to pub.
