SUMMER LAW CLERKS: Recruiting for the summer 2011 program will begin in August of 2010.  Please apply through your school's on campus recruiting program if you attend a Twin Cities law school.  Other students may apply by sending resume, cover letter and transcripts to hr@larkinhoffman.com.

PROGRAM FORMAT: Our summer clerk program is formatted to give students a glimpse into the different areas of the law in which our firm specializes. Clerks have the opportunity to work with a variety of attorneys in various departments. Because we do not want clerks to get lost in the shuffle, each clerk is assigned a mentor and encouraged to approach their mentor with questions, concerns, and ideas.

Clerks assignments are primarily research and writing oriented.  Work is assigned through the law clerk manager who monitors clerks’ workloads and ensures that each clerk is given a broad range of opportunities. Clerks accompany attorneys in both the courtroom and the board room.  Working collectively, the clerks prepare a presentation on a current legal issue to be given in front of our attorneys at some point during the summer.  We understand the importance of feedback, and attorneys take the time to evaluate the work done by clerks in order to help them develop their skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be entering their second year of law school. Excellent academic credentials and writing and research skills are required.

Compensation is competitive.
