Human Resources Recruiting Assistant – Part-time
Larkin Hoffman is seeking a human resources recruiting assistant to manage recruiting efforts at the firm, including ad placement, applicant tracking and staff interviews. Other duties include assisting with performance review processes, scheduling and conducting new employee orientation, coordination of our summer associate program, firm meeting scheduling, and back up for other HR functions. Qualified individuals will have five years of recruiting/human resources experience, preferably in a professional services setting. Intellectual Property Attorney – Trademarks
Larkin Hoffman is seeking a highly motivated trademark associate to join its IP team. Candidates should have four or more years of experience in various aspects of trademark practice, including the filing and prosecution of trademark applications, trademark clearance, counseling clients on trademark selection, coordinating with foreign associates to procure international protection and handling trademark disputes. Ideal candidates will also have experience in licensing, copyrights, domain names, drafting and negotiating agreements involving software, services, and e-commerce. We are looking for a detail-oriented attorney who has outstanding academic credentials, the ability to manage multiple matters at once, strong communication skills, a dedication to client service, and commitment to excellence in the practice of law. Working as a summer associate is a unique opportunity to experience the day-to-day projects, challenges and excitement of a practicing attorney. Each summer, Larkin Hoffman hires a staff of law students who have completed their second year of law school. In the past, many have stayed on through the school year and some have continued as associates.
Our summer associate program is formatted to give students a glimpse into different areas of the law in which our firm specializes. Summer associates have the opportunity to accompany attorneys in both the courtroom and the board room. Summer associates also work together on a presentation to be given to all attorneys on a current legal issue.
Our summer associates are given the opportunity to work with a variety of attorneys in all of our different departments. Each summer associate is assigned a mentor, and is encouraged to approach their mentors with questions, concerns, and ideas throughout the summer. Work is assigned through a manager who monitors workloads and ensures that each student is given a broad range of opportunities. We understand the importance of feedback, and our attorneys take the time to evaluate the work done by summer associates in order to help them develop their skills.
