Practice Overview

Brian M. Childs is a trusted advisor to his clients, who are businesses, individuals and nonprofit institutions, including religious and arts organizations. His clients rely on him to advocate for them in disputes and to advise them more broadly in a wide array of transactions involving real estate, technology, and governance issues.

Brian received his undergraduate education from Princeton University, from which he graduated cum laude. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School, where he served on law review.

Brian is proud and supportive of his communities. He is a former commissioner on the City of Rochester’s Planning and Zoning Commission and a current member of the Government Affairs Committee of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce. Brian is a former member of Calvary Episcopal Church, in Rochester, where he was a Vestry member and Finance chair. He and his family are now members of St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral, in Minneapolis, where Brian serves as counsel to the Cathedral. Brian is a board member of the Rochester Art Center and the president of the Princeton Club of Minnesota. He is a past president of the Princeton Association of New England and has served on the Executive Committee of Princeton University’s Alumni Council.
