This person will provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in our Tax, Trusts and Estate Department and will work Monday – Friday, 8:30-5:00 pm. Duties include maintaining and organizing client files, filing and scanning , drafting and following up on engagement letters, managing calendars and scheduling appointments. Prepare/process client bills, timesheets, and other client disbursements. Legal Administrative Assistant – Floater

Larkin Hoffman is seeking a legal administrative assistant with 2-3 years of law firm experience to work Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m. This person will provide short- and long-term back-up administrative support to attorneys and paralegals throughout the firm by providing coverage and managing a desk when the assigned legal administrative assistant is not available. They will also provide back-up for the reception desk, mail room, IS, accounting, and litigation support coverage. Assist with special projects and cooperates as a team member with support staff in performing any duty essential to the achievement of efficient operations. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and highly organized, have superior grammar and proofreading skills and have the ability to transcribe dictation. Summer Associates

We are no longer accepting applications for 2019 summer associate positions.

Working as a summer associate is a unique opportunity to experience the day-to-day projects, challenges and excitement of a practicing attorney. Each summer, Larkin Hoffman hires a staff of law students who have completed their second year of law school. In the past, many have stayed on through the school year and some have continued as associates.

Our summer associate program is formatted to give students a glimpse into different areas of the law in which our firm specializes. Summer associates have the opportunity to accompany attorneys in both the courtroom and the boardroom. Summer associates also work together on a presentation to be given to all attorneys on a current legal issue.

Our summer associates are given the opportunity to work with a variety of attorneys in all of our different departments. Each summer associate is assigned a mentor and is encouraged to approach their mentors with questions, concerns, and ideas throughout the summer. Work is assigned through a manager who monitors workloads and ensures that each student is given a broad range of opportunities. We understand the importance of feedback, and our attorneys take the time to evaluate the work done by summer associates in order to help them develop their skills.
